The research will be carried out at CIC biomaGUNE, in San Sebastián (Spain), under the supervision of Prof. Luis M. Liz-Marzán. The project aims at the design of plasmonic nanostructures and devices for applications in environmental monitoring.
The project, supported jointly by CIC biomaGUNE and a local company, is aimed at the application of surface enhanced Raman scattering for the real-time monitoring of environmental water. Within this project, the proposed post-doc research will focus on the detection of environmentally-relevant analytes, as well as integration of an automated device for long term monitoring.
A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related area, is required and experience in the fields of plasmonics, spectroscopy, analytical chemistry and complex data analysis, is highly desirable.
Contract duration: initial duration of 1 year renewable up to 2 years, starting in October 2020.
