Junior postdoc researcher position on mRNA tumor therapeutic vaccines offered at the Institut Químic de Sarrià- Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona)

A junior postdoctoral researcher position is offered at the Group of Materials Engineering (Gemat), to work on the project devoted to designing a multi-therapeutic mRNA vaccine against lung cancer, based on polymeric and/or lipid micro- nanosystems. Gemat has recently received funding from the Spanish Government and from a European call to run this project, so the postdoc will be incorporated in a multidisciplinary and transversal team working collaboratively to successfully run the project.

Specifically, the postdoc is expected to have a strong background on molecular biology, immunology and/or nanomedicine. He/she will be in charge of the following activities of the project:

1) Optimizing in vitro transcription for the synthesis of antigen mRNAs

2) Selection and synthesis of the biomaterials to be used in the formulations

3) Formulate the micro and/or nanosystems carrying the synthesized mRNAs

4) In vitro studies of interaction of the delivery systems designed with biological macromolecules, physiological barriers crossing and cell uptake

5) In vitro (and possibly in vivo) studies of safety and efficacy
